IT Growth project — training high school students in IT professions

The active development of IT services and introduction of new technologies raise the demand in highly qualified engineers for their support and development. Rostelecom, jointly with international youth public organization "AISEK", has been implementing the project "IT-Growth" for several years. Its purpose is to acquaint high school students with promising high-tech services in the field of digital technologies.

In 2018, the main theme of the project was "Lessons on Media Security", where high school students learned how to behave correctly in the information space, got information on the history of the Internet, types of malware, methods of protection against viruses, types of fraud. The project included 128 events, which were attended by 1,055 students from 22 schools, as well as 60 foreign volunteers. Lessons were given by foreign students from Austria, Algeria, Ghana, Egypt, India, Italy, China, Colombia, Togo and Turkey.

Rostelecom and AIESEC jointly create an innovative educational environment that meets the current demand of IT companies in highly qualified specialists and requirements for school graduates, who wish to get knowledge in one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy.
