Rostelecom temporarily suspends trading to cater for legal requirements associated with its reorganization

Moscow, Russia – February 27, 2014 – Rostelecom OJSC (Moscow Exchange: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia's national telecommunications operator (“Rostelecom” or the “Company”), today notifies its shareholders, investors and other stakeholders that register and depositary transactions and, thus, trading in the Company’s ordinary and preferred shares on the Moscow Exchange will be temporarily suspended in accordance with current legislation.

The suspension of trading is to accommodate Rostelecom’s on-going reorganisation in the form of spinning off CJSC RT-Mobile. In accordance with legislation, trading will be suspended the day after the incorporation documents for CJSC RT-Mobile have been submitted to the tax authorities. The planned start date for the suspension of trading is March 25, 2014.

Share trading is expected to resume the day after receiving the state registration for CJSC RT-Mobile or a refusal to register. This information should be received within five working days following the submission of documents for registration.
