As part of ALROSA’s measures to counter the spread of coronavirus Covid-19, Rostelecom has installed 17 thermal imaging cameras in the Company’s medical centers in Yakutia, Smolensk and Moscow. Rostelecom’s heat-detection solution is designed to screen up to 80 people per second simultaneously for signs they may be running a fever and potentially be infected. The contactless and automated camera will help minimize risks of further spread of Covid-19 in large organizations.

Olga Makarova, Deputy CEO at Alrosa:
“Ensuring the safety of our employees and the people of the diamond province in general has always been our priority, and this is even more important during the coronavirus pandemic. We believe that the thermal imaging cameras will help us to avoid the spreading of Covid-19, and will also be a good tool for our front-line doctors.”.
