Rostelecom to acquire AIST, a leading broadband provider in the Samara region

Moscow, Russia – June 14, 2016 - Rostelecom PJSC (MOEX: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY) (“Rostelecom” or the “Company”), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, today announces that its Board of Directors has approved the acquisition of AIST JSC, a leading broadband and telephony provider in the Samara region, for RUB 1,420 million.

AIST serves approximately 130,000 broadband and telephony clients, including more than 10,000 corporate customers.

Maria Florentyeva, Senior Vice-President of Rostelecom, commented: "This acquisition will enhance our leading position in the Samara region’s broadband market and provides us with the opportunity to upsell our modern digital services to AIST’s subscriber base."
